One chime rings through the house.
Two hands feel around, lost.
Three soft clicks bounce through the house.
Four isn't always equally two and two.
Five little sounds run through the house.
Six eyes watch another two.
Seven small ticks echo through the house.
Eight feet run on cold, hard floors.
Nine tiny dings stir through the house.
Ten fingers nervously wrap around a knife.
Eleven bells sound through the empty house.
Twelve hours go and leave nothing left.
